Yearly physical examinations and immunizations

We recommend seeing your pet on a yearly basis to do a full physical examination. Our physical examination includes a complete exam of the eyes, ears, nose, teeth and mouth, heart and lung auscultation, abdominal palpation, and rectal temperature. We feel that a full physical examination is important to catch any underlying problems that your pet might have that will affect their health and well being. We see a variety of pets from rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, reptiles, and of course cats and dogs! Bring your puppy or kitten in for its first visit and receive a free bag of goodies! We use the highest quality vaccines available to protect your pet from disease. We also have a reminder system that will notify you when your pet is due for any vaccinations or treatments.

Wellness Testing

Wellness

Testing

We offer yearly wellness testing for pets young and old. A fecal examination is recommended on a yearly basis to rule out any intestinal parasites that might be causing weight loss, diarrhea, and overall loss of body condition. We also recommend a once yearly blood test to screen for heartworm disease – a deadly parasite that invades your pet’s heart leading to heart failure. This test also screens for tick borne diseases such as Lyme disease and Ehrlichia. Finally we offer inpatient and outpatient wellness screening for older pets. This testing includes basic bloodwork, abdominal ultrasound, chest x-rays, a fecal and urine test. This way we can diagnose any underlying conditions in your senior pet before they start showing clinical signs and can treat them appropriately giving them better quality of life for a longer period of time!

Diagnostic

Imaging

At our clinic we strive to bring you the latest in veterinary technology. We offer comprehensive diagnostic image services including state-of-the-art digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and video otoscopy.

We are proud to offer a new state-of-the-art digital radiography (x-ray) system! Our new Canon CXDI Digital Radiography (DR) System:

  • produces high definition digital radiographs which give us exceptional diagnostic views of your pet.

  • takes x-rays incredibly fast with results that are immediately visible – and fast is better for your pet helping to reduce stress.

  • saves and sends x-rays quickly to most referring veterinary specialists. No need for you to lug around those large x-ray prints.

What’s even better is this new system can do both body AND DENTAL digital x-rays. Since 60% of periodontal disease is hidden below the gum line highly detailed x-rays are critical for accurately evaluating the extent of periodontal disease.

We offer ultrasound diagnostic services. Ultrasonography uses high-frequency non-invasive sound (ultrasound) waves to produce images of internal organs as they function and other tissues.

Our clinic also offers endoscopy, and video otoscopy. Endoscopy is a non-invasive tool to use to remove foreign bodies from pet's stomachs and to perform various other procedures and examinations. Our otoscopy unit allows us to visualize and perform surgeries on the ear canal and ear drums.
