Based on NY state and the Department of Agriculture we will be scheduling any new surgeries on a case by case basis if we deem them urgent or emergent. We still feel first and foremost we must protect our public health by conserving our personal protective equipment while providing optimal care for our pet community.
We have had to make changes in our services as follows:
Appointments and Procedures
We have been asked to postpone elective procedures and routine appointments to:
- Minimize person to person contact
- Preserve personal protective equipment (PPE) if the call arises that we need to donate our supplies to the human medicine field.
This means that we will continue our curbside services at our office for emergencies and urgencies only, and for a few exceptions. For now we will provide appointments for:
- out of date Rabies vaccines
- necessary blood draws to assure pets are regulated and safe.
- any urgent or emergent illnesses or issues your pet may be having
You will still be able to pick up prescriptions and food orders. Please note that if your pet is not up to date on their yearly exam that is needed for prescription refills, we may require at least a telemedicine virtual exam with the doctor. Go to www.teletails.com to download the app.
Remember, our lobby is closed so once you park in our lot, please call us to let us know that you have arrived.
Our boarding service will now be on an emergency basis only. Dr. Frost will make determinations on a case by case basis whether we can accept a pet for boarding.
If you have any questions call us at 716-366-7440.
Since we have been asked by the state to change how we are able to serve our community, we will be cutting back hours and staffing to preserve our business.
Our hours are now:
Mon-Tues 8am - 6pm
Wed-Thur 8am - 4pm
Fri 8am - 5pm
Saturday appointments thru Teletails only 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
At this time we are not having Saturday appointments at the clinic. This is to help limit person-to-person contact. However, Dr. Frost will still be available through telemedicine (Teletails) consults on Saturdays from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. Go to www.teletails.com to download the app.
Please keep in mind that with no staff on site on Saturday, Dr. Frost may direct you to a local emergency facility if she feels it is necessary. Any after-hours emergencies will still be referred to an emergency facility - Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center (716) 662-6660 or Village Veterinary Clinic of Hamburg (716)646-4023.
